Summary / 摘要： Reddit Growth Copilot is designed to process Reddit page content primarily on the user's device. By default, the extension does not send Reddit post draft text or scraped Reddit page text to the developer.

1. What the extension accesses / 扩展会访问哪些数据

The extension may access the following information when you use it on reddit.com:

Text you type into a Reddit post title or post body, for local scoring and suggestion features.
Publicly visible Reddit page content, such as subreddit names and visible post titles, for on-page analysis.
Extension preferences and UI state, such as panel visibility and settings.
A compact local summary of the most recent analysis, which may include a shortened post title snippet.

Score draft post quality using local rules.

3. Data sharing and transmission / 数据共享与传输

Default behavior: data is processed locally in the browser. The extension is designed not to transmit Reddit draft text or scraped Reddit page text to the developer by default.

Optional analytics: the source code contains an optional Google Analytics 4 integration that is disabled by default. If the publisher enables analytics in a future published build, limited usage analytics may be sent to Google Analytics, such as extension version, event names, page-type classification, pseudonymous client/session identifiers, and feature usage metadata. The current implementation is intended to avoid sending raw Reddit post title/body text by default.

4. Local storage / 本地存储

The extension may store the following locally in your browser via Chrome extension storage or page session storage:

UI settings and feature toggles.
Panel visibility and onboarding state.
The last analysis summary, which may include a shortened title snippet.
If optional analytics is enabled in a published build, a pseudonymous analytics client ID and session information.

5. Third parties / 第三方

By default, the extension does not sell personal data and does not share Reddit draft text with the developer. If optional analytics is enabled in a published build, Google Analytics may process limited usage analytics according to Google's policies.

6. Data retention / 数据保留

Locally stored data remains on your device until you clear extension data, clear browser storage, or uninstall the extension. If optional analytics is enabled, retention of analytics data is governed by the Google Analytics configuration for that property.

7. Your choices / 您的选择

You can stop all extension access by disabling or uninstalling the extension.
You can clear locally stored extension data through Chrome's extension management tools.
You can avoid using features that analyze draft text if you do not want on-device processing of that text.

8. Permissions explanation / 权限说明

storage: save settings and recent analysis summary locally.
activeTab, tabs, scripting: run the extension on relevant Reddit tabs.
*://*.reddit.com/*: limit page access to Reddit pages only.
